Addressing one of the most powerful YPO chapters in the heart of New York City along with my friend and founder of YPO Metro NY, Jonathan Krieger. Having done several talks all across the globe, this one was special. With a well-established audience of around fifty CEOs and company owners, we discussed sleep, emotional stress, anxiety, happiness, and how social media is slowly ruining the lives of their young teens. In a world that continues to glorify the hustle-hard culture, it felt like a breath of fresh air to encourage people to pause, slow down and reflect on what brings them joy and true happiness. We also discussed longevity and broke it down into simple lifestyle changes that can help them live meaningful, long, and fulfilling lives. It was a pleasure to be invited to this event and spend a crisp fall morning with such an amazingly fit yet humble audience.

Topic: Addressing the wonderful audience at MetLife on Holistic Health and Lifestyle Medicine and introducing our four foundational pillars of wellness.
Description: The focus of our discussion was stress management and sleep, two of my favourite subjects because they stand to be the most significant gaps in disease prevention and recovery from all the cases we consulted across the world. When I started my career in nutrition and slowly moved into integrative and lifestyle medicine, what was once the most crucial vertical to me – nutrition, now only appears hyped and complicated. Don’t get me wrong. Nutrition is extremely important. It is essential for prevention and recovery because everything we eat either nourishes or hurts us. But what I mean is that nutrition is not everything. No matter how excellent your nutrition is, if you do not take the effort to balance it out with adequate movement, quality sleep, and emotional wellness, nutrition cannot and will not work alone. I also covered how employees could strike a work-life balance and simple lifestyle changes they could begin making for a healthier 2023. Team MetLife made a fantastic audience and asked such intelligent questions. It makes me happy to see corporate set-ups as giant as MetLife embrace lifestyles for themselves and one another.
