Role Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented HR Associate to support key HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, payroll assistance, and compliance with labor laws. The ideal candidate should be based out of Mumbai, have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for human resource management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment & Onboarding
- Assist in the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, screening, and interview scheduling.
- Coordinate onboarding and induction programs for new hires.
- Maintain employee records and documentation for seamless onboarding.
2. Employee Engagement & Relations
- Address employee concerns and escalate issues when necessary.
- Assist in organizing employee engagement activities and events.
- Support performance management processes and facilitate probation confirmations.
3. HR Operations & Compliance
- Maintain and update HR databases, records, and HRIS systems.
- Assist in payroll processing by collating attendance and leave records.
- Ensure adherence to labor laws, company policies, and compliance requirements.
4. Payroll Processing & Compliance
- Assist the HR Manager in payroll processing.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations such as EPF, PT, TDS, Gratuity, and Bonus Act.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Handle payroll reconciliation and resolve discrepancies.
5. Taxation & Benefits Administration
- Process income tax (TDS) deductions in compliance with tax regulations.
- Assist employees with tax declarations, Form 16 issuance, and tax-related queries.
- Manage employee benefits such as PF withdrawals, ESIC claims, gratuity settlements, and reimbursements.
6. Time & Attendance Management
- Monitor attendance records and leave management.
- Coordinate with HR and department heads to validate payroll inputs.
7. Audits & Reporting
- Prepare attendance, payroll, leave, and employee master data reports.
- Liaise with finance teams for payroll accounting and reconciliations.
- Stay updated on labor laws, tax amendments, and payroll best practices.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in HR or a related field.
- 3-6 years of relevant experience in HR operations, payroll, and compliance.
- Based out of Mumbai, Maharashtra.
- Proficiency in HRIS software (SAP, ADP, GreytHR, Zoho Payroll, etc.)
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.)
- Familiarity with wellness industry standards and practices is a plus.
