I am Kinjal Shah, a qualified nutritionist, I believe that food can heal every single cell of your body when provided with right nutrition. Be it weight loss, heart issues, diabetes mellitus, thyroid etc. Along with providing guidance on nutrition, I also motivate my clients to adopt an active lifestyle. Health is not a destination, it is a journey of daily practice. My journey in the field of nutrition started about 10 years ago. I graduated as Bachelor of Home Science with Nutrition as specialization, from Nirmala Niketan College of Home Science, Mumbai in the year 2009. After which I did my post graduation in Applied Nutrition and Dietetics, in the year 2010.

By the end of the program, my weight reduced to 83 kg from 95kgs and most of my health parameters within the normal ranges. Even after the program ended, I continued the schedule given by my nutritionist along with the intermittent fasting, coupled with physical activity, today I weighed 77.5 kg and have stopped medication for BP and Diabetes. In terms of inch loss, it's a whopping 21.5 inches. One of the beautiful things about the whole program was that most of the foods that were recommended were based on items that are normally available in a standard Indian kitchen, plus a few additional natural substances like wheat grass powder that you need to procure.
I had put on weight right out of college and just kept putting on weight till almost a decade later. I tried to do things on my own to shed the weight but nothing seemed to work so I just gave up and kept living my usual unhealthy lifestyle. This January, I hit my lowest point ever. I was the heaviest I had ever been but also unhappy with the way I looked and just plain unhealthy. I’d start panting after walking for 15 minutes. My mother offered to enrol me into this course because she had started following Luke and it made a huge difference to her. I agreed because...what’s the worst that could happen. The team looking after me was wonderful, especially my nutritionist Kinjal who explained everything to me when modifying my diet. I’ve lost 8 kilos so far but I have gained a whole new perspective.
