Your gut is called the enteric nervous system because it is constantly corresponding with your brain. You might have noticed that you feel the urgent need to rush to the washroom when you are anxious. This is because the way we feel and think, our happiness quotient, and our mental state are influenced by the gut and vice versa.
Imagine your gut microbiome as a bustling ecosystem housing trillions of bacteria that play a pivotal role in everything from digestion and immunity to mood and cognitive function. A healthy balance of good and bad bacteria is key. But chronic stress, poor eating habits, and medication side effects, among other factors, can disrupt this delicate balance.
Poor gut health reflects not only on your physical self but enormously impacts your emotional and mental self. Most health concerns stem from the gut, from acne and hair fall to food sensitivity and low immunity to digestive issues like acidity and constipation.
With each case we handle, one fact becomes clearer: the connection between the gut and mind. No matter how many superfoods you eat, how well you move, how soundly you sleep or how many supplements you take, without addressing emotions, fears, an overthinking mind, and anxiety, the relief is only symptomatic.
Think of our gut lining like a fishnet made of thin mesh. It aids the easy exchange of nutrients, enzymes, and hormones and keeps disease-causing bacteria and toxins out. But when you constantly make unhealthy food and lifestyle choices, your gut is left with no choice but to process and digest it. It slowly begins damaging the net by increasing the space between the mesh. The result? A compromised gut barrier. Now, even bigger protein or undigested food particles start crossing the gut barrier and entering your bloodstream.
Your body does not recognize these substances. It looks at it as foreign matter and begins attacking itself. When your immune system starts attacking your tissues, it can lead to autoimmune issues. A leaky and compromised gut if left untreated can pave the way for bigger health issues.

“The pain was intense and debilitating. It was hard and depressing. Especially when I was unable to do a simple task, such as brushing my daughter’s hair. I was in tears on most days and felt very hopeless. A dear friend suggested that I enrol, and it has been a beautiful experience. My Senior Nutritionist and Lifestyle Expert, Jesal Shah, put me at ease right from our first call. She was very patient and answered promptly, even on days off or short notice, which I highly appreciated gave me the confidence that I could get better “

Everyone’s body is different. The rate and progression of disease management for you will depend on the condition of your gut, age, the extent of the disease, your body’s response to the medication, changes in nutrition, lifestyle suggestions, and more.
Yes. Based on the condition of your gut, there may be restrictions on certain types of foods ranging from dairy, all forms of refined sugar, processed foods, and gluten to other inflammatory foods. However, we shall provide all alternatives and substitutes, so you do not feel deprived in any way.
Yes, they can. However, we also have a Pregnancy Care Program, which is more relevant to pregnancy-related symptoms and solutions.
Our first aim is to always use functional foods as medicine. However, if your immunity is extremely low and your gut is initially too weak to absorb the nutrients, then we may consider adding necessary supplements.
As you make progress, the restricted foods can eventually be reintroduced but on a trial basis only to avoid any major relapses or flare-ups. However, based on your progress and considering the gut takes a long time to heal, we can start introducing the restricted items back into your routine. Once you start reintroducing them, utmost care must be taken to ensure they are done in moderation.
This program is designed for all individuals, including toddlers facing gut issues. It can help improve their gut lining while also guiding the parents on inculcating healthy eating habits at an early age.
Plans will ideally change based on progress or once in two weeks, depending on the case.
As clinical nutritionists and lifestyle experts, we will guide, counsel, and support you in keeping your likes and preferences in mind.
If your digestive health is compromised and you cannot absorb nutrients from your food, then weight gain or weight loss becomes difficult. Once the stomach lining starts healing, nutrient absorption improves, and secretion of the right number of digestive acids and enzymes occurs at the right time, one can notice gradual weight gain or fat loss.
